What do you think of when you hear the term Black Belt? Common impressions are that a Black Belt describes a martial artist who has mastered a high degree of technical physical skill and mental discipline.
Trifecta Taekwondo has designed a curriculum to train and develop Black Belts of the Mind, Body and Spirit.
Master Instructor (Kwan-jung-nim) Michael Murphy is a fifth degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, holds a master's degree in business from Rice University and is a Doctoral Candidate at Liberty University. An accomplished competitor, he has won several state championships and was named Grand Champion of the Western United States in 1991, before starting his military career in the United States Air Force. He served for a total of nine years as an Instructor in the Air Force and Air Force Reserve. Following his honorable discharge, he taught at churches offering a creative community outreach program focused on child safety, confidence and character development.
He continues his service in the Texas State Guard as a Certified Instructor and Commander of the Reception and Training Unit for the 2nd Brigade. Having completed over 30 marathons and ultra-marathons, he practices the same discipline he trains to instill in others.
We are currently working out the details to offer classes in Conroe, Texas.
